Vancouver Wedding Venues: Yachts, Penthouses & Heli-Pads

6 min read

Vancouver's most exclusive wedding venues are not the published ones. Brides and grooms with serious budgets in 2026 are booking superyachts on Coal Harbour, Coal Harbour penthouses with private chefs, helicopter-only mountain venues in the Tantalus Range, and Tofino oceanfront homes with floatplane access. This is the insider list of the most coveted Vancouver wedding venues with real pricing for 2026.

Superyacht weddings on Coal Harbour

The most-booked yacht for Vancouver weddings is the Princess 75 (12-guest seated, 20-guest cocktail capacity) at CAD $14,500 per 8-hour day plus catering. Coal Harbour to English Bay return tour with sunset ceremony on the upper deck, dinner in the salon. Two captains, mate, sommelier, fully licensed bar.

For larger weddings up to 35 cocktail guests, the Sunseeker Manhattan 120-foot or Princess 105 motoryachts charter at CAD $24,500–28,500 per day. These vessels have full salon dining for 18 and standing room for 35 with DJ booth and dance floor.

For symbolic ceremonies (legally non-binding) at sea, we anchor in English Bay or the Burrard Inlet outside the harbour limits. The legal portion of the wedding is performed in Vancouver before lift-off; the symbolic ceremony onboard is purely for the moment and photography.

Coal Harbour and Fairmont Pacific Rim penthouse weddings

The Fairmont Pacific Rim Owner's Suite (1,800 sqft + 800 sqft terrace) is available for full weekend buyouts at CAD $14,500/night for Saturday + Sunday. Capacity is 30 seated dinner + 60 cocktail. Hotel coordinates catering through the in-house team (Botanist chef de cuisine designs the menu).

Private Coal Harbour penthouses are the alternative for smaller, more intimate weddings. Our most-booked is a 3BR/3-bath penthouse on Hastings Street (2,200 sqft + 1,100 sqft wraparound terrace, 360-degree harbour and mountain view) at CAD $4,800/night. Capacity 14 seated dinner + 25 cocktail. We coordinate full catering, florists, DJ, photographer and lobby concierge.

Both options come with a written event-permit-compliance package — our team handles the noise bylaw, fire-code occupancy, and parking management with the building strata. This is the part of penthouse weddings that often goes wrong without an experienced operator.

Helicopter-only mountain venues

For weddings that want to be utterly removed from the city, we have access rights to three helicopter-only sites in the Tantalus Range and Garibaldi Provincial Park: the Sea-to-Sky Lookout (private 0.8-acre clearing, accommodates 20 cocktail), the Garibaldi Glacier (year-round, accommodates 12 ceremony only), and Mount Currie Saddle (panoramic Howe Sound view, accommodates 30 cocktail with marquee setup).

A typical helicopter-only wedding for 20 guests requires 4–5 helicopters flying in shuttles from Coal Harbour helipad over a 90-minute window before the ceremony. We coordinate the flight schedule, the ground crew at the site, the marquee setup (built the morning of, removed the next morning) and the return shuttles.

All-in cost for a 20-guest helicopter wedding at Sea-to-Sky Lookout is approximately CAD $48,500 (helicopter shuttles, marquee, chef, photographer, officiant, music). For full custom builds at higher capacities, quoted on request.

Tofino oceanfront weddings via floatplane

The Wickaninnish Inn (Long Beach, Tofino) hosts weddings up to 80 guests with full property buyout. From CAD $42,500 per day for the property + meeting house + restaurant takeover. Guests fly from YVR or Coal Harbour via Harbour Air Cessna Caravan charter (CAD $850 per seat each way, group of 9).

For more secluded Tofino weddings we coordinate private oceanfront home rentals at Chesterman Beach and Mackenzie Beach. The most-requested is a 6BR/7-bath cedar home directly on Chesterman Beach with private cove access — CAD $8,500/night with a 3-night minimum, plus ceremony marquee setup (CAD $14,000 turnkey).

How to book

Vancouver wedding venue availability for 2026 is already tight — peak season (May–October) requires booking 9–12 months in advance for any of the venues above. To start, contact our concierge with the guest count, two preferred dates, and a venue style preference (yacht, penthouse, mountain, oceanfront). We return three turnkey options with all-in quotes inside four working days.

The wedding venues that get talked about for years — the ones that become wedding-magazine cover photos — are almost never the published banquet halls and hotel ballrooms. They are yachts, mountain summits and oceanfront homes that the bride and groom worked through a concierge to lock in. Keys to the City coordinates these venues from inquiry to ceremony day across Vancouver, Whistler, Tofino and the Gulf Islands.
