Vancouver in 2026 is one of the most loaded years in the city's history. Beyond the FIFA World Cup, there is a packed calendar of festivals, performances, sporting events and seasonal traditions running from January through December.

Spring (March – May)

Cherry Blossom Festival (late March – early April), Vancouver Sun Run (April), Vancouver International Marathon (May), TED Conference (when in Vancouver), Vancouver Craft Beer Week (late May), Squamish Beerfest, and the Vancouver International Children's Festival.

Summer (June – August)

FIFA World Cup 2026 matches at BC Place (June 13 – July 7), Bard on the Beach (June – September), Vancouver Pride Festival (early August), Honda Celebration of Light fireworks (late July – early August), PNE Summer Nights Concerts (July – August), Vancouver Folk Music Festival, and Vancouver Fringe Festival.

Fall (September – November)

Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF, late September – mid-October), Vancouver Whitecaps MLS playoffs, BC Lions CFL playoffs, Vancouver Canucks home opener at Rogers Arena, Vancouver Writers Festival (October), and the Vancouver Christmas Market opening.

Winter (December – February)

Vancouver Christmas Market at Jack Poole Plaza, FlyOver Canada Holiday season, Bright Nights at Stanley Park, New Year's Eve fireworks at Canada Place, PuSh International Performing Arts Festival (January), Dine Out Vancouver (January – February), Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival, and the Vancouver Boat Show.

Vancouver's 2026 calendar is the busiest the city has ever published. Build your year around the FIFA World Cup window and layer in the surrounding festivals — and you'll see Vancouver at its absolute peak.
